  • So update and prayer request… I'm here in Seattle for the summer and loving it!  Working for Boeing, and thanks to my roommate getting out and having fun (for if I was on my own I would sit at home and read or watch TV/movies).  Tonight there is an Intern bowling night, free games and free food.  It should be fun!

I have a prayer request to ask of those who still read this.  There is a great program that Boeing has for new hires.  It's a two year rotation program that lets you do 6 four month rotations in different departments that will give you a better overview of the company and prepare you for leadership roles.  For the entire Puget Sound area there are only 10 spots available and at least 300 who could be applying, maybe more.  I really feel that this is where I should be, so please pray that if this is Gods will that He will open the doors and give me favor, and that if it is not His will that I will find what is.

  • Well it's been almost 7 months since my last post, so I thought I would update the few who might still read this.

I am still in school, coming to the end of Winter term and ready for Spring break, but then Spring term is just around the corner.  Classes this term have been a lot harder, and I had to take an extra one so that I wouldn’t have to take summer school and could still graduate on time (only four terms left!).  While I do not normally mind summer school, having taken it the last three years, another opportunity arose for the summer which I jumped at.

This summer I will be an Accounting Intern at Boeing in Seattle, WA.  I am so excited for this opportunity to work for such a great company!  I have only ever heard good things from people who work there, and the benefits are out of this world.  They also have a high track record of hiring Interns full time after graduation.  It will be weird living in Seattle, but it will also be fun.  My parents and I went up last weekend to look at apartments, and I found the perfect one.  It's a little expensive, but since this time I have a paid internship I can afford it, and I felt safe there.

In other news, I no longer work for the bank, I quit at the end of December so that I could take the extra class and not kill myself.  However, this next term I will be back to my normal 12 credit load and so am looking for a new part time job that will let me leave for the summer and then come back in the fall.  I just applied at Ann Taylor Loft, a store which I LOVE!  I really hope I get the job, with how much money I have spent there in the last few weeks, I could use not only the money but the discount as well.

Well, I cant think of anything else exciting to say so that is all for now.  We shall see if I post again before summer comes…

  • Vacation here I come!

Vacation… such a wonderful thing!  On Thursday at 9:15 pm I and my parents will board a plane and head for Arkansas.  (Yea, I know it may not sound like the most exciting place, but it’s were the family lives, and its only 3 hours from Branson, Missouri and Silver Dollar City!!!)  I am very excited to leave Oregon for a little while, leave work behind, and have some fun.  Of course we get back on Sunday at Midnight, and both my Mom and I have to get up early for work Monday morning. And then school starts on Tuesday.  Yet another year… L  But alas, I will not think of that yet!

  • Another one bites the dust

Two posts in one week, how lucky you all are.  Well, I'm not lucky… my car died.  The transmission blew, as well as the electronic load detector (if anyone knows what this is please let me know).  All in all it will be about $3000 to fix according to the dealer; we are looking elsewhere of course.  How could this happen?  It only has 110,000 miles on it!  So now my family is in a quandary.  Fixing it is obviously cheaper than getting a new car, but still we don’t have the money, and my dad is getting laid off next month.  So now we have to get a rental car and pay for the repairs.  Please pray for us.  I know God has a plan for everything, even things like a car breaking down, but I'm having a hard time seeing this one.
